Error messages on your prepay meter can show because of a faulty card or key, or due to an issue with the meter itself.
If the message disappears, then it may be that there's a problem with the card or key itself. Try wiping it with a damp (not wet) cloth to remove any debris that may be stopping the device from working, and reinsert it into the meter.
